Ruggiero Sfregola

After graduating with honors in violin in 1994, he pursued advanced studies in Chamber Music with Felix Ayo and in violin with Beatrice Antonioni, winning several scholarships and competitions, including positions with the Orchestra of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples and the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He is an active chamber musician, performing with ensembles such as the Sestetto Stradivari, the Quint’etto, and Triofolk, and has played alongside renowned artists like Lisa Batiashvili, Antonio Pappano, and Beatrice Rana. He regularly teaches masterclasses and performs as a soloist and concertmaster at various European festivals. He was described by Felix Ayo as one of his best students and plays on fine instruments, including a violin made for him by luthier Igor Moroder and a 1909 Augusto Pollastri from the Pollastri family.
