History, music, and care: Andrea Angelucci discovering the human being
Andrea Angelucci
Andrea Angelucci's journey represents a model of integration between the humanities and social sciences, where seemingly distant disciplines — such as archaeology, music, and nursing — interweave into a unified, person-centered vision.
His professional and personal experience reflects a dynamic, multifaceted approach to knowledge and human care, one that merges historical insight with artistic sensitivity and clinical responsibility. It is a journey through time and emotion, where every skill acquired becomes a tool for dialogue, understanding, and transformation.
This is not merely a multifaceted career path, but a meaningful choice: to live and work guided by a perspective that values connection, active listening, and storytelling, recognizing in the complexity of individual passions a resource for fostering collective well-being. It stands as an example of how education, commitment, and openness to change can shape professional paths that are coherent, authentic, and sustainable.
Born in 1985 in Rome, Andrea Angelucci developed a love for history from an early age. He studied Archaeology at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and later pursued a degree in Nursing Sciences at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome. After becoming a certified tour guide, he began leading tours in Rome and throughout Italy, eventually moving on to organizing and guiding historical-archaeological journeys abroad.
Following an exploratory trip to Pakistan to uncover the country’s cultural heritage, he was invited to host Art Rider on Rai5 – a documentary series that follows him across Italy in search of lesser-known artistic, historical, and archaeological treasures. The show, which he hosts, has aired three seasons and eighteen episodes to date, all of which remain available on RaiPlay.
He also appears as a correspondent and guest on other television programs such as Geo and Kilimangiaro, where he continues to highlight overlooked historical and archaeological contexts. He has published Fuori Porta with Rizzoli, a collection of historical-artistic travel itineraries throughout Italy, and the travel guide Art Rider with Capponi Editore, based on the TV series.
In October 2024, he delivered a Lectio Magistralis at the Medieval Book Festival in Saluzzo, titled The Colors of the Middle Ages. He is currently a contract lecturer at the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, where he teaches History of Nursing Sciences to first-year students. At the same institution, he collaborates with Campus Life to organize cultural activities such as guided tours and educational trips in Italy and abroad.
