Nicolò Govoni is in his early thirties, lived to the fullest.
His dreams do not remain in the drawer; they live his choices, whether big or small and his goals and failures. With the perseverance that young people teach, Nicolò realizes his dreams one by one. A dream exists when somebody can dream it with you and build it step by step until it becomes true.
A turbulent adolescent who gets lost where his home is, he flies to India, where he finds himself capable of something he does not know yet. He feels useful for the first time. A new awareness crosses his eyes and stops in his soul, to stay.
Nicolò stands and contemplates the sense of joy and plenitude that is born inside himself. The horizon line, running from the jungle to a vast Indian sky, is his witness and gives him the idea of a path with no route, but yes, it has perspective… what a perspective!
Samos during the peak of the Syrian humanitarian crisis, then Yemen, Congo, Syria, Kenya, Colombia, and India again. He does not care about latitude or longitude; wherever he is, Nicolò now knows that home is not just a place or a space but a meeting with other human beings. With his team at Still I Rise, he opens one school after another to offer children in contexts of fragility and vulnerability excellent training, which means hope, perspective, and awareness of the fact that “Realizing your dreams is a choice to be renewed every day.”
